This is a real nursery, for people with an interest in plants and gardens. We can't, and don't want, to offer the kind of prepackaged convenient products off the shelf you will find in supermarkets - we have proper plants with a decent root to shoot ratio, which don't always look "table ready". The young stage of growth is fascinating - take the Abies nordmaniana. A Christmas tree, it seems to take well to pot culture, but we don't know yet. It grows very slowly in the early stages, then surges. We watch the growth of all our plants from germination to sale in this way.

Plants of quality survive and thrive
Because our plants are grown with the root in mind, they are much healthier than most forced commercial stock. They are propagated under local conditions, not forced in Dutch greenhouses. And because we do our own propagation, we can keep our prices highly competitive.

Eucalyptus, Grasses, Flowers, Shrubs, Trees, Herbs ...
If we find it of interest, we'll try to grow it. I'm trying to photograph some of the features of the nursery for a decent picture library, and the catalogue page gives a short description of the plants.

Rhus integrifolia, lemonade berry
Which we grew, not because of the flowers, foliage, fruit or other, but because it has india rubber like branches! Our pet name for it is "Bouncy Bush". In general, we try to go for lesser known plants of good growing value and which can be produced at a sensible price.
This market is greatly overpriced - not only for plants, but for composing and planting gardens. We do the work ourselves and deal directly, so can bring plants and planting to the public at genuine trade prices.
